Passive Buildings California is currently guided by an interim Board of Directors (formerly the Steering Committee):

At Large: Nabih Tahan, Graham Irwin, and Kris Knutson

A formal process for electing or appointing Directors is being developed. The Board interfaces with related groups to ensure appropriate coordination and communication as follows:

Development

Objectives: Develop and implement revenue model. Manage membership program.

Objectives: Increase public and media awareness of the Passive House building standard and Passive Buildings California group.

Education

Objectives: Educate the public on the benefits and implementation of the Passive House building standard. Train building professionals on the Passive House Planning Package (PHPP). Develop and maintain support networks. Plan Passive House tours and other events.

Advocacy

Objectives: Influence building energy policy by strategically interacting with government agencies, non-profits and educational institutions. Partner and collaborate with those that share compatible goals.
